The Taj Mahal is in Agra and always has been but the city of Mumbai is popular of another Taj Mahal not only in India but around the world. The Mughal Emperors may have lived in the Taj in Agra but most modern emperors and leaders of the world have stayed at least once at the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. Mumbai has seen highs and lows and with the city the Hotel Taj Mumbai.  has endured all these times, whether good or bad. No one can forget the tragic scenes of fumes emerging from this iconic building when Mumbai was under attack in November, 2008. Many sacrifices were made and lives lost but the Taj stood bold and still, as if it were reflecting the zeal of the Mumbaikars and their lust for life. The Old Side

The old side of the Taj with the well known dome was build around 130 years ago way before the Gateway of India itself, which stands today in front of the Taj. The Taj is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea and its 260 rooms provide a great view of the Gateway of India.

The New Side

The new side is heritage site in its own right, almost all world leaders including US presidents, the Pope and the Queen have visited and honoured the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. This side includes 44 luxury suites. The infrastructure is not the only attraction, the food in not just good it is heavenly and needs to be experienced to believe.
